Secrets of the Clip Library

C.L.A.P. GRAB

Description

What in the world is a C.L.A.P. Grab??? Well, it stands for: Clip Library Auto Pic Grab. Of course.

The Clip Library is one of the cool features of having an Axial 2020 or a Axial 3000 with Video. And the C.L.A.P. Grab is a way to make a full clip library automatically from an existing EDL. For information on using the Clip Library for manually making storing clips, please consult the help menus or operations manuals.

Note: you must have an EDL in the Axial list to use this feature. You can either make one from scratch or import one via the List I/O feature.

Instructions

Here's all you have to do to use the C.L.A.P. GRAB:

Highlight the edit(s) you wish to make a clip library of in the EDL.
Press CONTROL + CLIP LIBRARY to start the grabbing process.
(now, now, no snickers, I am not talking about that kind of grabbing)

Done. The Axial will cue up the sources for each edit highlighted, so obviously those tapes need to be inserted in each tape deck as requested. The clips will be added to any existing clips that you have already made manually.
