Sharing DME channels

I'm wondering if any of you know of a way to "share" DME channels between two switchers (we're running 2 DVS-9000's)? I'm figuring that we'd need the System Manager software, but thought I'd see if it might be as simple as changing an IP address to borrow 4 channels from another switcher within our facility.
