Ever since the EIC Login function has been around I have always operated under the assumption that no parameters of the Kalypso ENG menu could be changed, saved or modified if the "EIC" was not logged in. Yesterday my EIC and I proved that theory wrong.

We were in Baltimore on v. 14.0.1 and several sources were found to have lost their tallys - even though they all checked out at fax a few hours before. Long story short, it turns out that our truck's EIC was checking some things out in the Tally section of the ENG Menu via his VPN in the back of the truck. He inadvertantly reset a number of the tallys during this by accidentally pressing the 1-32 "Hot Key" in Tally Group 1, essentially reseting the tallys to the default 1 to 1 ratio.

But here's the kicker: nether he nor I were logged in via the EIC Login. Does the EIC Login function NOT cover the Tally subgroup of the ENG Menu?

To prove this theory we tested it after the show and, sure enough, changes can be made to the Tally group regardless of whether or not the EIC is logged in or if his VPN is active or inactive. Is this on purpose or have we found a bug? It seems to me that this is a VERY dangerous menu to just be wide open to any knuckle-headed operator (or EIC ;-) to just access randomly.
