In clip mode, have to hit recall twice
Submitted by Mongo on Thu, 01/27/2011 - 17:30We've just installed a Clipstore MXc, and mated it to our TDC100. I'm having a problem with it recalling clips. When I recall a clip in a register on the TDC, it will load in the Key channel, but the Fill channel will flash to the correct timecode, then revert to the previous timecode, and won't recall the clip. After hitting recall a second time, it will load. Same thing when recalling from an EMEM (Kalypso with 15.1).
It works fine when recalling registers in the same clip, but not when recalling a different clip.
Thoughts?
Kayak timeline delay
Submitted by tvguy2 on Sun, 11/28/2010 - 14:04Just wondering if anyone has seen this before. I was on MTVG HDX17 last week and noticed this behavior with my transition timelines.
Here is my basic timline:
-Recall pbus register
-wait for user
pbus play trigger
-keyer on
hold
-auto trans all selected
hold
-keyer off
Can Lance work in Clip Mode with CSMXc?
Submitted by Mongo on Fri, 10/15/2010 - 10:12
I'm researching DDRs for our truck upgrade to HD, and I'm trying to determine between the CSMXc or the FFV Omega HD.
I like the features of the CSMXc, especially being able to import .mov files, but I need to know if the TDC-100 can display the Clip List from the CSMXc.
If not, I thought we might set up the truck to run it 2 different ways: if TD elements are brought in on tape, use the "one long rip" method and use the Lance to clip them off... if the elements are supplied as .mov files, then use direct PBus control from the switcher to access clips.

Submitted by TD-72 on Sun, 06/07/2009 - 15:07Hi
I am looking for the software for the PC web interface for the MCx. I have it, but lost the newest version somehow, and now I don't know where to find it. Can someone please direct me to a link?

I can not get simple loop play on clipstore to work
Submitted by iduetv on Sun, 02/22/2009 - 14:15when I issue the command #5 on the p-buss to loop play the clip, the key side plays for about 1.5 seconds then cuts back to a point the matches the start point of the video side and parks on that frame while the ("A") side does the looping. What am I missing?
thanks for your insights
Making Sure I Understand
Submitted by DLefchak on Thu, 08/28/2008 - 20:38Hello all--
First time Clipstore MXc user here... just so I understand this correctly (from the other posts I've read here) in order to properly get PBUS control for the Clipstore through my switcher (GVG Kalypso): I need to record the video and key of all my elements simultaneously so that they do not need to be cued separately with different timecodes.
Basically, all I have is a videotape output of the elements with the video first with the matching key following each clip. I am used to using a Fast Forward system, and it seems that the Clipstore is set up differently.
Chroma delay error.
Submitted by tobbesthlm on Sat, 08/02/2008 - 02:50Hi
anyone experienced a chroma delay error when playing imported .mov files?
ive imported a few 1080 50i VKA .mov files and
i get a 1frame diffrece in chroma and luma when playing them out.
the error comes sometimes after 30 minutes sometimes after 5 hours.
doesnt seem to be stress related, i just leave it for a couple of hours then the error is there.
the only cure is to restart the application, then the error is gone for a while.
anyone?

Import JPG Sequences?
Submitted by Lou Delgresiano on Sat, 07/26/2008 - 11:32I see in the brochure that the ClipStore can import many sequences, and it claims it's faster than rendering. Wondering if anyone's had any success with importing JPEG sequences?
I may try it today.
Re-Striping timecode
Submitted by Unger on Sun, 05/04/2008 - 20:20I'm not very familiar with the clipstore DDR so I have this basic question to ask.
After laying down the element reel (without slaving the tape timecode) I wanted to restripe it so it was close to the element reels timecodes. I recorded about 25 minutes of crap and I wanted to restripe it so it started at 1:00:00:00. Do I do this in TCN (timecode native) or LTC and how?
Anyone?
Thanks

Submitted by SVS on Sun, 04/20/2008 - 04:43Hi,
I believe the GVG Kalypso switcher has got a 3 frames delay? Can anybody confirm whether you've got lip sync problem
I needed to delay the audio to 120msec to sync the video and audio.
