Hello Editsuite.com friends,

Due to tons of abuse, we now require that you request user access by sending us your Login, Name, Email Address, Phone Number, and Profession by submitting that info HERE.  I'll review your request and try to get back to you within the week.  You can't imagine how many folk want to trash forums with bogas advertising.

Also, please help us gain enough Facebook "Likes" to have a custom Facebook URL!
So many questions...ok 1 at a time...I have the 8000 and I need to control the router (Sony) which protocol should I be using? Also, I have a setup shotbox for my "show #1". I am assuking I build the RTR control into the setup shotbox to recall the router inputs and then turn it off for the rest of the shotboxes.
The Sony router uses a protocol called S-BUS. So, naturally, the switcher uses this protocol to communicate with a router. Sony sells a S-BUS to other manufacturer's converter card. The card is specific to what router you are conecting to. You'll have to contact your Sony sales person to find out what routers are supported, but I think it's most of the major ones. One you get that working, you assign the router region to one of the 8 USER regions. Well, it's a little more complex than that. You must first setup the switcher to control those router crosspoints THEN you can worry about effects with routers in them. If you are buying this router interface, then I would think your Sony sales person would arrange help from Sony service. Sorry, but that's all I know. I do know that the router interface is outstanding, once it's set up. RE
