Hang on for an Old School question! A bud of mine asked me if you can load 3k P/P & DSK emems (timelines) onto a 4k and have them work with minimal modification? I had never tried but would think that you could assuming the EMEM Config settings matched...

Yes emems work no problem. I have also loaded configs, but just do a config load for inputs, and a few other things that would not effect any engineer settings on a 4K.. Bill

John: I just did that - I had a show already built on a 3K but had a 4K switcher. It works flawlessly, but I already knew the wipes and some luminance key levels would change and be different, due to the difference in numerical values which are used in the composite and digital versions of the switcher. My configurations from the 3K & 4K are exactly the same, but I would never load a 3K configuration into a 4K and vice versa... I would rebuild it completely as not to change the switchers video settings. As far as emems - it's ok but you will have different values on wipes and luminance keys as I stated. Best, Rick
