We have a Kalypso and a profile. We control two channels of the profile with the bvw protocal, we recently upgraded our profile, and now when we cue our clip up it is not frame acurate. i was wondering if someone had the same problem.

Thanks Tom..

I'm not really sure what's causing your problem. Seems like since the upgrade to the Profile that the Kalypso and Profile don't seem to be talking exactly the same protocol. A couple of engineering things to try.... 1) In Kalypso, remove and then re-add the peripheral setups for the 2 channels of profile ensuring that they're set as BVW (if that's how you want to operate) in the engineering setup menu. 2) In Profile, change serial protocols on both channels to something else (Odetic or Panel Control) and then back to BVW. Also, re-assign the serial ports for these channels on the profile (P1, P2, etc) and then assign them back to where they were. If these don't work, and you haven't already tried this, then reboot the Profile. Good luck.

its not cueing it up to the right frame every time nor is it displying the right frame, until you play it...

Are you saying that the 2 Profile channels are not in sync with each other, or is it that the clip is not cueing up to exactly the timecode you've entered?

it is not a parity problem, it worked before, then we upgraded the software of the profile and now its not frame accurate.....

Might be a parity setting issue. Check to see that their both set to either odd or even.
