Can anyone walk me through setting up a clean feed from the Kalypso? We're just needing a straight program feed without the downstream keyers.

Thanks
Ben

Thanks for all the help. It works. I had to go into engineering setup to assign the aux output not user setups. Thanks again.
This capability has been there since Double Take was introduced.
Cool, I had a hard enough time just finding the menu for clean feeds, to do what I needed to do. It all worked, but this would definitly make it easier. thanks Bill
Bill, You can prevent E-Mems from switching the mode on your M/E very easily. Go to [Daily Setups] / [Suite Prefs] / [E-MEM Prefs] Under "M/E", select the [Pgm/Pst] datapad. Under "Partition Boundary", assign as "Not Assigned" There is now no E-Mem level controlling the Split mode, ie what Partitions are configured. If you need some E-Mems to control it, assign the Partition Boundary to a spare Misc button. brad
Brad, is this a new feature (past year or so), or always been there? Would have helped me on a game I did last year, had to modiy all my timelines after Telemundo asked for a special output. ughghghg I guess this then disables emem control that deals with the Clean feeds and the primary/secondary (double take) stuff, which I guess is all in the same menu and the same feature in essence?? thanks Bill

As far as I'm aware, there's no easy way of stopping E-MEMs stored at an M/E level from changing the M/E settings back to whatever they were when the E-MEM was originally saved. In short, I don't think you can 'lock' the MODE (or other specific settings) of an M/E so they can't be changed by M/E level E-MEMs. In SPLIT mode, you can assign the Secondary side of an M/E to one of your MISC buttons for E-MEM purposes (In SUITE PREFS). That way, the Primary and Secondary sides of an M/E can be controlled somewhat separately.. Would be interesting to see if others have anything to add to this.. -------- Further to my above steps, it would be easiest to set up your clean feed on PP B as this output can be chosen in your AUX row by pressing SHIFT+PGM/PST. Doing this will eliminate steps 7 & 8 above.
Try this Ben.. 1. Go to the M/E menu and select the MODE sub-menu. 2. Select the bank you'd like to modify, in your case PGM/PST. 3. Change the mode of the bank from the default setting of NORMAL to PROG CF. 4. You will see the 4 outputs from this bank on the right of screen (ie PP A, PP B, PP C, PP D) with keys 1-4 listed below each one. 5. Choose an output for your clean feed (in your case likely to be B, C or D as PP A would be your primary output with all keys enabled). 6. Disable the desired keys on your chosen output (so for a feed that's clean of all keys, the whole column of keys under your chosen output would be inactive). 7. Go to BUTTON MAPPING in USER PREFS and assign your chosen output (ie PP B, PP C, PP D) to a button on your AUX row. 8. Choose a free AUX through which to route your chosen output. Your clean feed should appear out of your chosen AUX. Hope this helps...
On a seperate note.. these are ememable correct?? Is there a way to make these changes globally? So that emems won't change these menus or outputs. thanks Bill
