Hey all,
I'm a new user on a sony mvs8000A Hd... Im pretty sure im using version 5.12..I'm trying to make a macro that will key on DSK1, then when i hit it again, will turn it off .My goal was then to attach that to another button.. I made it by simply by recording one keystroke of cutting dsk1 ON.. The macro will turn it on, but when i hit it a second time when the key is already on, it wont turn back off..
Is there something special that im supposed to be doing? I've built a macro like this on a phillips and had no problems..
A buddy of mine says is works on his sony with a lower software version?? Has anyone else had this problem.

any help id really appreciate..
Mike

Mike, with the advent of V5.x, status was added to Macro recording. As I understand it, by default when learing a macro from the panel (as opposed to entering it on the touchscreen by "code") a keyer's status is part of the macro. That means if the macro step #1 is to press a keyer button, it will see it as "turn keyer 1 on with an auto trans". I beleive you can convert it to something more agnostic by going into the "off-line macro editor" in the macro menu. It's pretty self-explanatory there but you should see something about status. I am, by luck, in front of an 8000 today and I will look and post my findings. RE
When you go into the offline macro editor, you'll see, in the macro, TO ON, TO OFF, ANY. If you set it to ANY then it will simply toggle. RE
Is that per macro? Either way I love that it remembers states, the fact that it gives you options is even cooler...
Yes, that's on a macro by macro basis RE
