I read somewhere in the Kalypso manual that the readout in the master E-MEM section displays the name of an effect. Does this refer to just the bank and register number or are timelines nameable like on a SONY?

Perhaps next to the register number in the timeline menu...just like on the SONY.

This is another of those "we haven't gotten to that yet" items. The original plan was to show the name of the effect in that display. It hasn't happened, and probably won't - instead, you MAY see (in future software versions) the name displayed in a menu.
