So i'm trying to hook up a Lance TDC-100 to a 7000 series switcher, but my employer doesn't have any documention on the switcher itself or the BKDS-7001 port expansion board they installed a while ago. so i have no idea how to configure the 7000 for p-bus communction with the TDC-100. any suggestions?

thanks

Pete

I think you need software 5.23 to get the P2 timeline.

Hey Warren, Thanks for the quick response. Have the 7001 extension board installed but in the Panel Port menu there is only a REMOTE 2 and REMOTE 3 option. and those options can only be switched between DME and Peripheral. Is there an engineering menu that will unlock other options? or do I need a software upgrade? thanks again Pete

In order to get p-bus to work on the Sony 7000 your control panel must have an optional KSDS-7001 control port extension board installed. To configure your switcher go to PERIPH menu and select PANEL PORT. Set Device #1 to P2TL and execute. The panel will do a reboot. Hook your serial cable to Remote 2 on the back of your control panel and the other end to the lance control. In your timeline window you will now see a timeline for P2. Here you can set keyframes with recall and trigger commands. There is a Pbus&GPI menu (shift+F4) to select the device, recall and trigger. Good Luck.
