Hey all,

My station has a new production truck with a 1 M/E Kayak. I've been trying to figure out how to hook up a laptop running the sidepanel software (v672.2) to the Kayak. So far I'm striking out - so I thought I would turn to the experts.

Can I get some pointers on getting the laptop and the Kayak hooked up and talking to each other?

Thanks in advance,
Nathan

Thanks for the responses. I think it's the IP address that's been killing me. I'll have another go at it when I'm at the station again. John, I may have to follow up with you about the registry tweaks. Let's see how far I get. Thanks again, Nathan

Hmm, it's been a while, but here goes. The two main things to look out for are which install option you use for the software on the laptop, I believe it should be "Single Panel", and which IP address you're connecting to, I believe you have to give it the IP address of the control panel, not the rackmount.
