I Loaded a 36 frame clip into my Kayak DD1 switcher. How do I get the clip to trigger a P/P transition.

Also, does Audio follow clip through switcher?

Stephan is right. If you can't find the commands in the macro editor, create a new macro and manually record those commands in that macro. Then you can simply insert that new macro into your exsisting macro. Go to the line you want to insert the command and INSERT EXSIST. MACRO > AT SELECT. Once you have 3 or 4 different macros build various ways, I usually use exsisiting macros as a starting point for new effects. Copy them to an empty register then modify them (PBUS Reg#, Duration, etc.).

The easiest way to create the macro will be to record a macro which does everything you want it to do except wait between the commands. So record one that sets the auto-trans time (if you're using a dissolve), recalls your E-Mem, presses play, hits the P/P "cut" or "auto" button, then cuts out the keyer. Now to insert waits so it goes smoothly: Your macro editor is located in the sidepanel under the Config menu -> Panel -> the MaKE tab. Select your macro and hit "edit macro." To insert a wait: Position your cursor on the command after where you want to insert the wait. Hit "Insert" then the "at select" button on the left Select the new "empty command line" you've created Hit Modify (the one on the right without the arrow over it) - CP Setup - CP MakeMemo - x.x sec. Sorry, you can only define waiting times in increments of .1 seconds. If it needs to be frame-accurate you can try adding a frame or three of "padding" on the beginning of the animation in the Ramcorder to move the cut point to a multiple of .1 sec. You will want to insert the waits before hitting cut/auto and before cutting out the keyer. If you want to re-order commands, select a command and hit the modify button on the left with the arrow over it. Hit move up or move down. Hit "End Edit and Save." I came up with this procedure on my "Demo" sidepanel on my home computer away from an actual switcher so I'm going by memory of how I set it up exactly. Should work though.

Ok...I got the macro (MACRO3) to play the clip via key4(E-MEM3) on pgm. Now how do I get it to perform an undercut and unkey the source. We have a sidepanel so please be very specific and the more detail the better. Thanks so much

You must use a macro to play the clip. From there it's up to you. On a DD1 I would use an emem to recall the clip and the source/status of your animation keyer, then call that emem from a macro which would then press play on the clip, key the clipstore, wait an appropriate time, do the undercut, wait some more and unkey the clipstore. Note that inserting a wait into a macro requires the sidepanel. If you don't have a sidepanel, use the instructions in this thread to set one up using a laptop. For the second question, the switcher will not record audio embedded in the SDI to the clipstore.
