Hi Guys,

I am currently on a gig with a Kalypso which has 1 3TE transform board.

The company needs to use all TE Engines and have gotten a hold of a second board. Both boards are installed and working but we can only access 3 TEs (any combination of the 6) at a time but not all 6.

Is this a license issue or are we missing something.

Dave
Bill, could it be that whoever owns the rights to the AMP protocol is charging T/GV a high license fee?
Isn't AMP a GVG protocol? I am not aware of any products that use it besides GVG stuff. It replaces Odetics as a more robust protocol. Also the device we are controlling will not do odetics and will not talk to encore software like the profile we have does. So it's AMP or nothing. I am sure they are trying to get money back for R&D that they did to add that to the software, but it is a strange thing to have as an option. Bill

Speaking of license codes, here is a new one that I haven't heard of. I understand chroma key licenses, TE, etc. I just learned you need a license (5K list) to use the Kalypso machine control to run AMP protocol. Odetics and BVW is free, but AMP is 5K. This goes beyond silly, especially since the release notes of version 12, that adds AMP control says nothing that I remember about a cost for this feature. Bill

Go into the ENG / SYSTEM / INSTALL OPTIONS menu. In there, you will see how many TE's you are licensed to have. If you see only 3 TE's, then that's the problem...you'll need to get another license code from GVG. In the lower left of this menu you'll see the system ID code - you'll need to give this ID to GVG in order for them to generate a new install code for you.

It might be a license code wasn't entered when the card was installed. I would start there.

If the Kalypso is in multi-suite mode than you need to make sure you have acquired all 6 TE's to the frame you are using.
