When I put an ME as the input source of the still store, there is a one line delay in the grabbed image. I understand that there will be a delay if we put back the split side of an ME back in the ME, but I'm not sure I understand why there is a delay with the still store.

Is it possible that your keyer has the shadow turned on but the Opacity set to 0% (totally Transparent)? If so and the shadow position is set to the top (12 o'clock) position, it can "push down" the key fill (in order to allow the shadow to appear above it). brad

Thank you Bob; The Re-entry pref was set to disable the Re-entry restriction; I set it to enabled, but I still get this delay. I have a combination of EMEM/Macro that does the following: On ME 1, A BUS, Key1 DEKO over SS2 (still image) B BUS : SS5 Macro: SS menu, punch SS5, put M1A as the input of the SS, delay 2f, grab; Next key frame: (0.5 sec) HOLD (nothing happens, to make sure that the grab is not done during the mix) Next key frame (0.5 sec) ME1 mix to SS5; That is where I see the image shift down. It's no big deal because everything is happenning so fast and it is in a screen on the set which is not always on the shot, but I still don't understand. Thanks again, JP

Check your Re-Entry Prefs. The way that the GV software guys handled the 1-line Time Zone delay when you re-enter the back side of an M/E into the front side was to simply override the M/E Time Zone autotiming altogether. Thus, if you allow for secondary side re-entries into the primary side by making the selection in the Prefs menu, then EVERY re-entered source is out by 1 line. For instance, if you put camera 1 on program and also on M/E 3; when you cut between the camera direct & M/E 3, you'll see a 1-line shift - Yikes! So what I'm trying to say is that if the Pref is set to allow secondary re-entries back into the primary side, the whole M/E (back side AND front side) will be a line out - this may be what you're experencing. If you turn the Re-Entry Pref OFF, this may solve your problem.
