I'm trying to get a 720 HD still off the Kalypso and manipulate it on Photoshop ( or anyother graphics program) and am having difficulty converting the GVI format. Can anyone offer any advice.

Reid, If you need to convert a gva/gvi pair to a TIFF or Photoshop format and you do not have access to a copy of Still Store Loader you could go to my website, web.mac.com/jwsteeldrum and download a standalone converter. There are versions for Windows or Macintosh and either SD only or SD/HD stills. jayw17@aol.com

Thanks Bob, Seems like we had the older version that only dealt with 525 and 625.

On the Kalypso install CD is a program called Still Store Loader. You can either install this program on the Kalypso Menu PC or on your own PC (If it's own your own PC you will have to connect your PC into the Kalypso system in order to access any Kalypso files - or copy your files from the Kalypso system onto a thumbdrive that you can work with on you PC). The Still Store Loader program allows you to convert to & from either TIFF or BMP formats to the GVA/GVI format (GVA is meta-data, GVI is image data - both are necessary for Kalypso). The program lets you do 720p, 1080i, 525, and 625 conversions. This should let you work with the files as you need.
