Hi.....I've worked on a Grass 3000 doing news for years and a 4000 doing sports for the last few years. I have a game coming up in a few weeks and the truck has a Kalypso which I've never even seen. How different is it from the 4000? Could I figure it out the day of? Does it set-up the same? Would it take my discs from the 4000? Otherwise I need to let them know we'll need the crappy truck with the 3000. I'd like to give it a shot but I don't want to be totally lost either. All the other equipment is the same I'm used to.

You can practice with the Kalypso menu before you sit behind the real thing by downloading the menu software () and installing it on any Windows PC. That should reduce what you need to learn the day of the show.

Marge, IF you have a disk with E-Mems and setups, they will not work. If you are talking about DVEous disks, they will work. To set the Kalypso up you use a touch screen monitor.
