Hi all,

I have been working with a Sony 9000 for a month or so now and I am having trouble creating macros. Whenever I go to the attachment tab for Macro's, all of the registers are greyed out. Am I missing a step somewhere?

I would like if possible for someone to give me some steps towards creating a simple Macro, and from there I think I can figure the rest out.

Can anyone talk me through creating a macro to route black into Aux 3?

Thanks for your help and thanks for this great forum.

-Joe

Bob, That worked, thank you. Can you tell me if it is possible to set key priority with a macro? I keep getting a flashing error when attempting. I tried putting a pause between each priority set and still no luck. Thanks, Joe

Bob...on the Sony, can we attach macros to the "mix" and "wipe" buttons on the P/P transition panel? I was thinking of assigning an auto trans rate independent to pre attach to the mix or the wipe buttons there. Thanks! Matt

(1) Hold down a Macro button in one of the Flexi-Pads (or select MACRO in the region assign area & hold it down while pressing STORE (make sure you've selected a register # 1st)). (2) Select the AUX 3 Delegation button - select BLACK as its input. (3) Either press STORE in the Flexi-Pad or press the STORE button in the region assign area to finish recording the Macro. To attach the macro to a button: (1) Recall the Macro (either via the Flexi-Pad or via the Region Assign panel) (2) Hold down either the PRE MCRO or POST MCRO (to cause the macro to run either after the button is pressed or before the button is pressed) and select the button that you want to attach the macro to. (3) If the MCRO ATTCH ENBL is active & you press the panel button, the macro will fire. It is only after you attach a macro that you will see the info in the ATTACHMENT area of the Macro Menu. This menu is not for doing attachments - it allows you to see what's been attached to where. And it'll let you clear out all Macro Attachments at once. To individually clear out an attachment, press the PRE or POST MCRO button without 1st calling up a macro - hold the PRE or POST button & press the panel button that you want to un-attach.
