KayakDD and Media Player

Hi!

I am using a KayakDD 1ME and I have a DDR connected as Media Player 1, Port 1,
Video Input 10.
I can load clips and control them, i.e. play, stop, ff, etc... no problems.

Now, I would like to start the playout of the clip when I put Input 10 to AIR.

I could make something similar with a macro, but, Is there a way to start playing the media player
with the Input 10 button?

I looked at Side Panel with no luck.

I would appreciate any help.

Thank you very much Jochen. I used the trigger event function and it worked perfectly. The macro functions are really usefull and open a different mind of the work with a switcher. Still, I have to find how to attach a macro to a button. ;) edit: found it at GVG faqs site. Tthank you again. Regards, Juan. :)

Hi Juan what you can do, it to record a macro. In this macro is (for the easiest way) a play command for the Media Player 1. Now attach the macro to the program button for this input. Or use the Tigger Event function. For this you need a sidepanel PC. Goto the - Install - E-Box - Input - Menu. Here you can configure a event for every input. Here you will use the "Media Player 1 - Play" command for Input 10. You can also configure a Preroll time. That means, if you do a cut, auto or hardcut the switcher will do the command and the Preroll-time later the cut or auto. To activate this function go into the menu - config - e-box - ME - and turn on the point: Enable transition trigger preset bus and Enable cut trigger program bus. That's it. Best regards Jochen
