Hello,

Is it possible to add a second shotbox to the Sony 8000? ( 24 button, 4 banks x24 I think) If so are there any limitations operationally for doing so? Any reason(s) you wouldn't do this. We want to have one in board mounted in the CP, but also need one to be outboard on a mount.

Thank you

Curt

Geoff, Thanks for the input...Will keep that one in mind also. So I assume the 4th flexipad mimics your P/P flexipad the same way a second Shotbox mirrors the first. I assume you could also mount this 4th flexipad externally w/ the correct cabling. thanks again Curt

Curt, Another idea for you... I added a 4th FlexiPad to the switcher on ND3 in the lower right corner of the panel and assigned it to be shot boxes, so I had 10 more SB's at my fingertips.

Rick, You are correct. One of the engineers emailed Sony, and Sony said you could have 2 panels, but you would have the same # of presets. Thanks again for the info. Curt

Thank you Curt[/quote] I am 99% sure that you can have up to two shotboxes on a single control panel. You're not getting any more registers, you're just able to see more of them at one time. I think the reason you can't have more is the power requirement that all those buttons draw. I would call your local Sony rep and ask but I'm pretty sure you can do what you want. RE
