Hello,
Is there anyway to do a mask on a internal DME on a 8K that is post DME? I am thinking that it is like Kalypso TE's in which case whatever you do to the keyer also goes to the DME. In this case not possible.
I know I can do a multi pgm and bring that keyer back, or use an external dme.

thanks
Bill

Bill - As Mike said, they show up as mappable crosspoints.

Bill, the original 8000 has that function, so I think it is on all of the 8000 family. It shows up as a source, no patching needed.
Bill - The DME's have their own internal shutterbox mask as well as a pattern mask...it's just called "crop" in the DME (page 4111 or 4116). You can send a masked or an un-masked key into the DME and do the masking at the DME. In fact, if you use the DME MON feature & map the DME MON VID as a crosspoint, you can use the DME to reposition things like shot clocks INSIDE of a keyer mask or preset pattern.
Bob, That is what I wanted to accomplish a mask that I can reposition the dme inside of it (shot clock, etc). Kind of figured you had to do a multi pgm re-enter, didn't know about the DME mon output. Do both styles of DME (mve 8k and 9k) have those outputs. They have to be wired or do they show up in the list of internal crosspoint that you can map? thanks Bill
