Hello.
What have I set up incorrectly? I have Clipstore channels A and B into lance ports A and B and can control them ok so I have put in and out cues for both devices on 4 registers. I have the P-bus connected to the Kalypso and when I have my Misc 6 enabled can recall KF1 of the same numbered E-mem registers and the Lance cues up both discs A and B just fine for my effects. I can 'test fire' the P-bus play from the Kalypso side panel and both A and B run. So far so good. I want to add additional keyframes on my Kalypso E-mems that Play discs A and B, I have a 50 field (I'm in the UK) gap between the E-mem recall and the Play command. It rolls A, but not B. Both are set to P-Pus Address 1 in the Lance. The timecode for both rolls of matt and fill are indentical. Any suggestions where I am going wrong?
My work around uses an assigned macro to 'test fire' the P-Bus 'Play' command after I have recalled on of my 4 Emem's, and they both roll OK...

Thanks All - mike davies

Hi, Bill Lance asked us to send the Pbus commands that were being sent to the TCD via email. He could see that the 'play' command was preceded by a register recall and suggested that the B device was re-cuing at the time of the 'play' command. We had a look at our programing and could see that we had made a mistake and enabled the register recall on keyframe as well as the register recall on Emem. We modded the offending keyframe and it worked just fine. Thanks Bill and thanks John for your suggestion to macro a test fire to get us by! Cheers - mike

Doesn't the clipstore have the channels ganged together internally. I think you only need to hook up one channel of serial control. I may be wrong. Are you using Kalypso in keyframe P-bus (new with ver 14) or standard recall etc? If you are trying to recall and play right away this may be the problem. Try this have emem recall clips, then one frame later 2nd keyframe do a play command, this will go after you recall and then hit run. 3rd keyframe no P-bus commands (undercut?) duration to 4th should be 2 sec or whatever Then 4th keyframe is a recue. Weird that macro works, could be the clipstore is missing the play command coming down P-bus, not sure.
