Hello,

I have a 1/3 wipe for a show that comes on with a DDR animatin on top, and the key needs to wipe on with 2 different croppings underneath. It is hard to type out exactly what the move is, but let's say that it is like a barn door wipe that comes on from the outside edges of the screen in, but the bottom of the key on the left door is croped higher that the right. I accomplished this the first build by using 2 keyers routed to the same CG. The problem with that is keying the same transparancy on top of each other makes it darker, and with the edges soft, it makes it difficult to build it perfectly. (for me anyway.) If you look close, it isn't perfect.

I would like to make this better. Messing around with the wipes, I haven't been able to mask one keyer with 2 different mask parameters. I was thinking of burning a transform engine, and using the crop from there, and the mask on the keyer.

Any other ideas? I feel like there must be a simpler way to do this. I guess I could just get rid of the raised crop on the left side of the wipe.

Thanks,
Mike

The issue is when both keyers overlap, the opacity doubles. I was hoping to use only one keyer so that when it unmasks, parts of the key don't get darker. I guess if I set it up so that the keyers never overlap, it will work, but that may be a little tough. Thanks for the suggestion, Mike~

Would running both keyers at 50% opacity do the trick?
