What would you say is the best way to do a CSTV clean feed on a 3k. With the lack of keyers, alot of times I will do some promos, and key crosses in ME1 or ME2. Just looking for another idea...thanks.

I handle clean feeds for CSTV shows through the Aux bus method like most everyone else here has said. The problem comes from all the other stuff CSTV wants you to have for their shows. If you are on a Kalypso it's easy. It becomes harder on a 3k. Besides the super clean feed they want, they also ask for Clocks over camera 1 as well as a back up clock in case the clocks fail in their bug. On most of the shows I have done, CSTV has booked older trucks meaning that you have a shortage of resources to do all of this, without some creative thinking. In ME 1 build camera 1 with the Dveous keyed. The sources in the DVEous are the shot and game clocks. Their postioning is determined by where the clock graphics exist on the score bug. I mask them out on keyers 1 and 2. The Dveous is built like this. Inputs 3 and 4 have the Bug Fill and Key and these inputs are selected in Channels 2A and 2B. These are set as a fill/key pair. Inputs 1 and 2 are the game and shot clocks. The clocks are manipulated into their appropriate position, colored if necessary and the effect saved. My backup clock on ME3 is now the Dveous keyed with a split key, the bug key being the hole cutter. I run my DDR effects with crosspoint holds on PGM/PST like I normally do. If I get caught having to dissolve out of a replay, I have a master reset emem that resets my aux buss back to ME3 clean. Happy Punching! Scott

I would use an Aux bus. Have Me3 clean and Me2 clean patched into the switcher and then set up an aux bus to cut between the two. Set up one of the DPM's to control the Aux bus and add that to your replay timeline. This way you can still switch the show as normal.

The feed I did for them was the same. As long as you can have the EIC patch M/E 2 clean and M/E 3 clean into an input, and as long as you have at least 1 GPI loopback run for an M/E 3 cut, you should be all set.

last time it was 100 percent clean, no branding, or replay effect. I was on a kalypso last time though. I just was thinking about using the gpi loopback to cut ME3 and feeding me3 clean for the clean feed. Thoughts?

I think it all depends on what they're looking for in the clean feed. I did a game with a CSTV crew this past weekend and all they wanted was basically a straight line cut of the game. I had the EIC patch M/E 2 and M/E 3 clean to an input. I mapped those and then fed the clean feed down aux 5. My replay changed aux 5 from M/E 3 clean to M/E 2 clean and back again. Everything else I did in M/E 3. Thankfully, they had GPI loopbacks already wired. I just had to program them. What exactly do you think they're looking to do?

I have quite a few coming up, I just want to make sure I can provide them the correct clean feed. I know they are rather specific (or I have heard).
