Never realized but when you do a key 1 to key 2 wipe, without changing your bgd you use the keyer wipes. Which are several menu presses away to change the wipe and even more interesting you cannot add a border to these wipes. I am missing something? Is there anyway to force it to use the regular primary wipe on that ME which has a border? Seems a bit limiting considering older switchers allowed you to do this.

Was looking to do a simple white border

thanks
Bill

If you are using Multi-Program (Menu Page 7331) and Independent Transition (Menu Page 7334), then your keyers use the keyer wipes instead of the Main Wipes. If you turn these off you should get the result that you're asking about.
I tried this again and it worked fine, I was able to use primary wipe to wipe two keys with border. Played a little and seems maybe I had multi pgm on, which I thought I looked for. Multi pgm, does kick your wipe to key wipes in this scenario, so DFO on my part I guess. Does it seem like the multi pgm menus to be a little weird, when you do ME output assign always defaults back to ME1, if you do Key Pvw assignemnets defaults to pgm. Which is at the top, in ME out menu, pgm is at the bottom. Be nice if it remembered where you were last like some of the other menus, source names, etc
Are you on an 8000G? You might have already used the maximum 3D channels and it automatically went to the keyer's resizer. Then the next time, you may have had a different 3D DME configuration and it was able to use the 3D's on the keyers. RE
