Blurry DVEous output

I'm new to this site and I'm far from an expert at running a DVEous. In fact, it's in many ways my Achilles' Heal in a production truck.

I was running a basketball score bug through a DVEous last night because I had to cut in both clocks myself on a 4k. Game clock in 1A, shot clock in 1B. Bug fill and key in 2A and 2B respectively. The fonts just looked blurry in the DVEous output. I called up the setup file off the truck's disk - didn't help. I looked through every setting I could see and it appeared as though everything was "normalled". I tried physically moving the image with the joystick and couldn't find any "sweet spot" where the image looked anything but blurry.

Any suggestions?

Thanks. Your answer makes sense. I think I once heard this truck was built with the intention of tooling for HD later on.

Not the truck I was thinking of BUT some of the gear from that truck came from a decommissioned analog truck. It has been almost a year since I worked on this truck, I don't remember any DVEous issues.

The truck was MVP Delta 5.

What truck? I know of a truck that has a 4k and they say that they are "digital" but most of the signal path is analog and they convert only at the switcher. I don't remember if they have analog or digital cards in the DVEous but the few times I have used that truck I tried at all costs to avoid the DVEous for anything.
