hi all
when i recored a stills in RAM the output stills i get is not clear and there is a distortion in the stills.but in EE the input of RAM is clear but when i replay the recorded still the output is not clear .how can i solve this problem ??

I've seen a few weird things with Kayak Ram Rec. I think we had to have the card re-inserted a few times. I think we also had to get a new card. I've seen the input moved down a few lines, so we put the source on P/P, then routed P/P into the Ram Rec. Good luck! --- Dan

Hi jochen befor when the problem is happen i solved it by switching off the switcher, but now i switched off switcher many time the problem is continous. yes i tried to record throuth anather ram-input i get the same problem. SW Version: 6.7.1 Kayak MF1 6.7.2 Kayak CP2 KAYAK DD1 S/N: GV037681 TYPE M/E1 Many thanks asishtar

Hi Asishtar, First: the clear ram is doing clearing a part of the working memory, this has nothing to do with the ram recorder. What's happen if you switch of the Kayak? Did you tried to record throuth another ram-input? What software version and what kayak type do you have? Best regrads Jochen

HI the picture (stills) look like noisy picture when i do recored still all the output(RAM1,RAM2,RAM3,RAM4) is replay noisy picture (the is a drop in the picture )also the same with field 1,fieid 2 and frame.this problem was happend befor but it was not fixed it was be good without any intervention but now the problem is continues.if we do clear RamDisk in the Clear Device Menu will solve this problem?? thanks asishtar

Hi, How does the picture looks like. Is it jittering, does it have bad pixels or does it have dropouts.... What's happen if you use a other output. Is it then the same? If it jitters, you can change the playmode from frame to field1 or field 2 (In the stilles-menu). If not, I think the hardware has a problem. Best regards Jochen

On all other still store units you have the option of displaying a single field or frame. You want to use FRAME. I don't know where to change it on that switcher. You also want to capture, or grab, the stills as frames not fields.
