Does anyone utilise an 8000G with more than 16 of these matrix panels connected to their mixer? We have a mixer with 16+ of these panels connected to our mixer using the S-bus and a PFV-SP3100 frame (with a HKSP-R80 inside it). We are having difficulty in getting information on how to program this set up. I'll explain further if anyone else has this set up.
Are those the 1 RU satellite aux panels?
The panels are 1U in height. I understand they are actually matrix control (selector) panels and are usually connected to a Sony matrix - not to a mixer. The standard aux control panels that come with this mixer have, I believe, quite small physical buttons and this was not what we wanted. The 1716A matrix selector panel has buttons that are more or less the same size as on the mixer panel itself and can be connected to this mixer. However, if you want to use the MVS8000G with more than 16 of these 1716A panels connected, you have to use a SP3100 frame with a HKSP-R80 CPU card inside it - all connected via Sbus. This seems to make programming of the panels quite complex and there does not appear to be much information on how to do this. There is a simple manual on how to set up some basic parameters on the individual BKS-1716A panels (station address etc) but to program up a chain of panels it seems necessary to connect up to the SP3100 frame and talk to the individual panels/system via that. It is information on this process that seems scarce?
