I picked up a soccer game on HDNet unit 1... Does this truck have any quirks (other than the Kayak!)? I don't see a Fast Forward/Clipstore/Spotbox listed, what's on board? Any tips for doing soccer with this truck and network?

TIA

Mongo

It went pretty well... setup was a bit of a pain. The 2.5 ME Kayak is a little different, in that the half ME is actually ME 2 (called MEh, whatever that means). That took me a while to realize. I adapted a setup from another TD on that truck, but I should have just started fresh with my own. Lots of 2 boxes, and several effects that never made air. The show was fine, though (I fat-fingered once, but oh well).

Hey Mongo, did you do the show yet? How did it go?

TIA Mongo[/quote] Mongo ... last time I saw this truck was about a year ago, but it did have the same Abekas HD Clipstore that the other HDNet truck has on board, along with a Lance. Most of your elements should already be loaded on the clipstore, and there will most likely be a switcher set-up for soccer, too. Maybe capture a few frame-mems, customize a few things to your liking, but their soccer look is pretty routine ... last I knew, a few different 2-box set-ups, and only a hand-full of animations. The clipstore application runs on the side-panel PC. The Kayak is a 2.5 ME ... I can't remember what the ME-H (the .5 ME) doesn't have, but I seem to remember leaving it for replay dissolves and such. The HDNet Directors generally have switcher knowledge, too (that helped when I was expecting to see the old Snell, and encountered the Kayak instead) ... Jason is good on the Kayak, and I'm sure that Hank is, too. Break a leg! Matt
