I am trying to create a snap shot to re-assign a key as well as change the key priority. I tried both an M/E snap shot as well as a macro. Doing an M/E SS will assign the keys and priority as needed but changes the key status when recalling the SS. IIRC on the 7000 there was a key hold, but I don't recall seeing that function on the 8000. Using a macro I can not change the key priority from the panel, I have to set the next priority on the menu and do a priority transition. The problem is, if another user changes that menu screen the the keys will transition wrong. We are running v7.1 on a 8000A. I hope this makes sense. If not I will try and clarify. Any ideas on how to build the snap shots?

Other option is to build an effect rather then a snapshot. Effects gives you more options for state holds, etc.

Thanks Bob, that is what I was looking for.

On Menu Page 7335 is a selection for XPT HOLD MODE. If you select KEY DISABLE WITH STATUS, then if the keyer's XPT HOLD is on when a snaphot is recalled, the status of the keyer won't change. This selection only works when the keyer's manual XPT HOLD (at the right of the crosspoint row...not in the ATTRIBUTES) is used.
