I have a general question concerning the Start Up Mode.

I have loaded a complete setup (including 'clear before load', so there is nothing in the memory that I don't want to have) and set all crosspoints, all keyers, the DME, everything to my personal default state.

In the Engineering Setup > System > Start Up (7341), I defined that switcher state by pressing both 'Setup Define' and 'Init Status Define'.

When I set the Start Up Mode to 'custom' and both Setup and Initial Status to 'User', shouldn't the switcher wake up after powercycling the hardware in that defined state? I'm a little bit confused, did I do anything wrong or doesn't it work like that?
When the system is restarted (very common in our OB Van), nearly everything comes back as I supposed. But a lot of crosspoints and the crosspoints' names are a little bit mixed up.

Any ideas?

Chris

Thanks Allan, I'll give that a try today! Chris === I've tried that and it doesn't work. The same problem occurred after I've restarted the system. At least the 'Resume' works. That's the most important thing for live shows!

I'd try doing an "all clear" reset. Reload your show and re-do your initial status and setup define again. Then under the "File/All External File" menu, save initial status back to the hard drive or memory card or whatever you're loading off of.

Yes, I did 'Setup Define' and 'Init Status Define' on all three devices (switcher, panel and DME). Start Up mode is set to custom, Setup and Init Status is already set to 'User' while defining. We run the latest software version. I'm a little bit confused... The 'resume' works properly. Chris

Are you doing a "setup define" and "init status define" on the panel, switcher and dme's? Is the startup mode on custom and is setup and init status on user before you do a setup and init status define?
