Macros

When building macros, the manual states that " If no pause is inserted all commands were executed immediately."
So... here is my question.
If I record a simple macro....such as RAM rewind And RAM play command WITHOUT pauses between the commands,
will RAM do exactly that. ie... will the last command executed be a RAM play command, OR will the MACRO sometimes
play the RAM and then REWIND?
I have done some experimentation with this and the MACRO executes the commands in order everytime.
BUT I am concerned that every now and then it might be arbitrary as to which command is executed first.
Thanks
Roy

Hi Roy,
this is depending of the moment you run the marco. So it could be that you can see the CAMERA 1 for 1 frame/field, but not often.

Hi Jochen,
That is exactly what I would normally do, but another vision switcher here does not worry too much about pauses.
I get a bit paranoid however, so I insert pauses to make sure one event is complete before I create another event.
A question on the same theme... I tried a similar theme with the MACRO....
I made a macro that cut CAMERA 1 to Line and CAMERA 2 to line... again no pauses between the commands.
The result is that CAMERA 2 is always cut to line when the MACRO is run.
QUESTION: Is there any chance that CAMERA 1 would be put to line if the MACRO is run?
Cheers

Hi Roy,
I think the best is to but a 0,1 Sec pause between the REWIND and the PLAY.
The problem is here, that the macro will send one comand after the other, but the RAM have to REWIND, what is fast, but sometime not fast enough.
Best regards
Jochen
