There is still a slight issue with Vid/Key pairs. If you load a V+K image into each paired output it will initialize properly and all subsequent grabs will be good.
I just finished a show on a v15.1 system - Ed is right in that if you load an existing V/K pair it will allow a V/K grab & save. However, as soon as you load a Video Only image, the system gets confused again. You then have to re-load a V/K pair to reset the system before being able to do another V/K grab or save. Based on this, I guess that if you don't have an existing V/K image anywhere in your files, you will be screwed if you need to grab a V/K pair.

Bill, I noticed when I had my SS in EE mode and I looked at ch1 &2 I saw the same video on both outputs but after I grabbed and saved the still I saw a fill and matte.

Anyone had problems grabbing video+key pairs? It's all in the right mode, but seems (at least with this particular TD) to only be grabbing video on both sides.

Hey Zipp, Although a HUGE Pain in the butt, it is best to rebuild the ENTIRE switcher. Engineering files and Daily setups if you have any. I haven't seen any tally or shift delays but version 15.1.0.1 has been an extremely stable software build. We run it in Multi Suite with External Aux panels and have not seen any problems. Travis

I have done three CBS shows with v15.1 and have had no real issues. The panel tally lag as well as the shift display lag is fixed but the Emem display lag is still a known issue. I did the upgrade to 15.1 on NCP-V so I know the NV was drained (yes, ENG files are in bad need of a re-do). If all you saw was the Emem lag then unfortunately that's still an issue, but the tallies and shift display are a huge improvement. The delay has been around for quite a few versions (since at least v11.0 - but admittedly was much worse in v15.0) and I think this is the best I've seen since before v11.0 - with the exception of the Emem display, of course). If anyone sees tally and/or shift delays I'd love to know about it and I'll make sure the guys at Grass know. Ed

"they drained NVRAM when they did the update," Don't know "if their ENG file was built in v.15 or imported from v.14." 14 Imported "NCP V's ENG file needs to get redone. They changed some sources and the old names are still in place." I redid it. It's all correctly labeled now. "load any setups that you had or did you start fresh? " I used a V14 base. The lag was mostly in the master e-mem window while I was building effects. I typed fast then watched the numbers lag behind. Like I said the menu was faster. The truck was there for a few days so maybe it just needed a reset?

NCP V's ENG file needs to get redone. They changed some sources and the old names are still in place. What is weird is that I used the truck before Zipp and I don't remember any lag. Nor did I have any crashes. Zipp, did you load any setups that you had or did you start fresh? I started fresh on my show.
I used 15.1 on NCP V for 2 days last week. I noticed little difference. The Pannel still lagged. The Menu was a little faster but crashed twice. It was nice to be able to delete stills right from the edit menu. It really didn't affect my show, just the annoying lag. Sounds like it works great elsewhere? FYI-the ENG Menu was re-done adding inputs and switching others around, so your old suit prefs won't match.
I wonder if: a) they drained NVRAM when they did the update, and b) if their ENG file was built in v.15 or imported from v.14. Those could cause the delay to still be happening.
Its so easy a caveman could do it. Or even an EIC from Minnesota. :) The new version seems very solid, of course so did the other release, so what do I know?
I deserved that. :-)

Well, jeez...if Nupnau can figure it out....
And boom goes the dynamite...
Joking, kids. Joking. haha! On that note, I did get a note from GVG today that they have pulled 15.1 from the website and will be releasing a patch 15.1.0.1 later today. They found out over the weekend that serial ports set to BVW or Odetics protocol are not enabled. Oops!
So far so good. The button light lag seems to have been fixed. SS menus changed a little, makes it easier to delete stuff. Seems solid. We have been running it for almost 2 weeks.
Well, jeez...if Nupnau can figure it out.... Guess I better get on it! :-)

NMT HD-3 has 15.1 running. Not sure how long it has been on the frame. I used the truck for a five camera NBA show and had no issues. No button lag and no noticed LCD lag.

Any experience with calling up stills and clips created in 14.x in 15.1? We had a BIG problem with this in 15.0.

And not just issues, but does it fix the things it is supposed to?

Anyone running 15.1 yet? How long? Any issues to report?
