Rookie TD here. I was wondering how most of you setup the switcher. Most importantly the keyers for basketball and football games. I realize most cut the show on ME3, but do you mirror the keyers on all ME's?

Let me know Pros!

teeitup78, something to remember, it doesn't matter how I do something or another TD does it, set your switcher up the way that feels the most natural or normal to you. In the past I have done some home shows where one person built the switcher and then two or three others would walk in and replace that person when needed. As a result, we tend to set things up in a similar manner. Are we 100% the same, no, but we do set the basics up very much the same. That helps when one person does game one of a double header another does game two or you have a three game college hoops show and you do games 1 &2 and another person walks in for game three.

I'll add that ME3 Keyer 4 is usually my backup clocks from the DVEous (if so equipped) for basketball, play clock for football.

I'm not a pro, only been TD'ing for 2 years, but my basic sports show goes something like this: P/P: Key 1 - Font1 Key 2 - Font2 Key 3 - FF/Clipstore Key 4 - Telestrator/CODI M/E 3: Key 1 - Font1 Key 2 - Font2 Key 3 - Fox Box/Bug Key 4 - various depending on show M/E 2 & M/E 1: Key 1 - Font1 Key 2 - Font2 Key 3 - various depending on show Key 4 - various depending on show Again, that's a very basic setup.
