Hi all,

I am looking to get the M/E 1 panel to have its own tally light, basically we are feeding a monitor on set with M/E1 and I can get a tally output to the monitor wall and cameras, but for some reason I am having trouble figuring out how to get the panel to tally as well. Is this something that will require a GPI loopback, or is it even possible?

Thanks,

Michael

Menu 7364 is the one....actually someone on this forum taught me this from another thread.. Like what Bob said, just create an entry for that output and assign the tally group. You can do red/green tally per M/E or even AUX...any output can trigger any tally.

As I recall, any output on the back of the frame can be assigned to tally. Let's say that M/E 1's output is feeding output #22 on the back of the frame...in the tally menu, you assign a new tally to output 22. That should do it.

Hi, Not at the switcher right now, but we've made it work for us this way... Once I get to the control tomorrow, I'll give you the menu page to go to.. Basically you have to list the physical video outputs that will trigger the tally. Eg. if you have M/E 1 PVW on OUT 1, and M/E 1 PGM on OUT 2, you can list OUT 1 in a tally group and OUT 2 on another tally group. These will then trigger the red/green tallies if any source is on PVW or PGM. There's no actual distinction of red/green tallies, just have to list them as two different tally groups.

In menu 7326.9 you have Button Tally options. Depending on your setting you should use the group your tally is assigned to, or independent. Try it ,it works for us. I've asked our Sony rep to make it possible to also get green tally, we'll se if it will be realized some day. mh
