Don't ask why but I'm trying to resurrect an old GVG 200-2 switcher. I just got the power supply working last night and tried to boot the system and now the panel partially lights up (this is progress) but all I get are 8s on the LED indicators. No crosspoint lights. I'm trying to find what this is telling me in the service manuals but haven't yet found any reference to it. I'm sure it's some sort of operational or fault code but I'm wondering if anyone out there knows what it represents.

OK, here's an update. I have an error LED on the VID MPU section of the Control Module. All the checksums check out OK with the EPROMS and the diagnostics don't indicate a problem. Here's the weird part... the STATE MPU LED shows everything to be OK but when I try to plug in the diagnostics pod to that section of the card it lights up but won't let me select any diagnostics options and is basically completely non-functional. I'm thinking that perhaps the STATE MPU actually has the problem. Thoughts anyone?
