Avid Remote Play and Capture

I'm trying to control an Avid editing system using Remote Play and Capture. I am having a hard time making it work. I had a crossover cable made and am able to start and stop the Avid using the machine control buttons on the Kalypso, but it does not show up as an external device in the menu software so I cannot program e-mems with time code onto a timeline.

Anyone else using and Avid for playback?

Ok, well I solved my own problem. The key is having the correct pinout crossover cable, which I aquired from Avid.
