There are 2 sessions for Kayenne switcher training, tentatively scheduled for Saturday, July 25th and Sunday, July 26th at Tropicana Field in Tampa, Florida. The switcher's first game is that Monday with the Yankees playing the Rays.
MU25HDX Why did they bother with the lance controller? The machine control of the desk (and the Kalypso) is much better these days.
Its actually pretty simple... its the numbers. A Kayanne Controller costs about $9,000 and the Lance is about $3,800.
Also, has anyone seen any easy way to get around using the bank button. The Kalypso has the quick bank options next to the local EMEM panel. I see on the Kayenne the user has to utilize the actual bank button. Any ideas?
That is weak. I use those quick bank buttons on me3 all the time for sports.

Never mind I was in the v1.5 folder with the "real software" and not the simulator folder. My mistake.

WARNING: Due to issues with file versions if you are updating from Kayenne version B10 to a newer version of Menu you should go to Add/Remove programs and remove the old Menu application before installing the new version. *Updates from R0x versions should work fine without the uninstall* NOTE: We have placed a copy of unreleased manuals on this web site. They are intended for customers that have already received their switchers and need installation or operational help. These files are password protected. Please call Customer Service for the unzip password. (1-800-547-8949 / 2 for switcher support) That is what is in the readme from the Kayenne FTP link on the Grass Valley site.

Les, its still there. 5th line of copy from the top. I can't think of any reason not to just post it here, but I'll decline just in case I'm overlooking something.

Viewed on my 16x9 laptop (shhh...I'm still a PC guy, but please help anyway) I'm unable to view probably the bottom half of the lowest row of "buttons" (emem, iDPM, etc). Up top, the blue buttons in the left corner only show their lower half (which I think might be normal, I'm not sure). The "windows frame" around the whole thing which includes the "x" to close it is entirely off screen. This may be as good as it gets, for that matter.

The native aspect ratio of the Kayenne menu display is 16:9 or something near that. I'm viewing the menu application on my 16:9 MacBook and I'm only losing a few lines at the top and bottom. Are you losing more than that?

I'm running on Vista. A couple times it shut down before finishing launch. A second launch took care of it. The last couple times I opened it, no problems with errors. Here is a problem I'm having- the menu screen is too large for my laptop screen. No amount of changing of my resolution seems to be helping. Thoughts on that one, anybody? The Kalypso program shows up just fine on the same laptop.

Does anyone know if the (optional) Machine control will allow you to shuttle through a device along with the timeline? Also, has anyone seen any easy way to get around using the bank button. The Kalypso has the quick bank options next to the local EMEM panel. I see on the Kayenne the user has to utilize the actual bank button. Any ideas? And, I noticed on the menu simmulator that the iDPM and the eDPM doesn't have corner pin. I was hopping that the Kayenne would make this happen. Does anyone have any idea if this will happen or if it will be added? Thanks
