Hey all this may be a long shot as most the post on these are a few years old, but I recently dug up our old dd-20 mixer the other day to test so we could use it in one of our studios as an emergency. Everything appears to work on the way of inputs, effects, keys and most outputs.

The issue im having is that the output of PGM and PST are the same. So my PST seems to be somehow linked to my main outout. I have also found this with the ME1 and ME2 Preview.

I linked my PST output out of AUX 1 and comfirm that it does work. Talking with my boss, he seems to think that it could be in a hidden engineering menu, but its been awhile and he hasnt been able to remember. However he does recall that you can control certain outputs etc.

Has anyone come across this issue? I have been into the menus 1000 times and nothing seems to stand out. I have read over the manuals enough times I can memorise it. I spoke with another guy from work and he said it could be a key issue with the PST set to show whats already online instead of whats about to be cut online.

again a long shot with this being and old mixer and i imagine not to many of them get used these days now with HD in the pipline.

Chris,

I believe your boss is right.  The menu you are looking for can be accessed through the "EXTRA" (emem, if you will) panel in the lower right.

Press STOR and EDIT at the same time. At this point, the 1 and 3 buttons on that panel should light up, you'll see they also have LEFT and RIGHT arrows on them.  ARROW RIGHT and the display should read PP-PREVIEW: DUAL.  Press the EDIT button until it reads PP-PREVIEW: NORM (it should take two presses to get there, its a 3 item menu in other words).  Program/Preset should be good now.

ME1 and ME2 would be something a little different, I think.  In the same keypad, hit the LEFT arrow a bunch of timeS--like 17.  Now you should be on a menu titled LOOK AHEAD PVW. Hit EDIT and you will see LAH PVW ME1.  The options here are ON, OFF and oAIR (on air).  These change what you will see if you select PVW ME1/PVW ME2 in the aux panel.  In OFF, you will always see what's on the A bus (ME program).  In ON, you will see what is selected as preset in that ME.  In oAIR, you will see the A bus (program) if the ME is not online. If it is online, you will see what is selected in preset.

I'm not positive that the above will be the fix for ME1 and ME2, but its what I can think of.  I will be surprised if we don't fix your P/P issue with the first part, however.

Repost and let me know how it goes. If you have any questions, feel free to drop me a line via the message feature on the board.

Sean, thanks for your reply. Yes I know about the Store and Edit menu, I found that by accident, but that has not fixed my problem. Yes I have gotten into the look ahead PVW aswell and I cant seem to access it (comes up saying its not installed). My boss knows how to fix it he says, its just been many many years since he or anyone else at work have used these mixers, im also starting to think it missing some cards. But we will crack it and i`ll let you know what the issue was. Thanks again for your reply.
