Why is the crew bathroom near the truck always so disgusting?

The Locks don’t work & it hasn’t been cleaned since they built the place?

Nominate your least favorite crew bathroom:

My current is The Philips Center in Atlanta.

Try having no toilets near the OB compound because there isn't addiquate drainage (2 week long event) so you have to go through secuirty to get into the venue, now the event has concerns about terrorism so everybody has to pass through metal detectors and then get patted down. Only after that were you allowed to enter the venue and go up two stories and make it to the bathrooms that the locals hadn't really seen before so had no idea how to use them properly, imagine foot prints on the toilet seats, water everywhere and a couple of minutes worth of .

Oh did I mention this was in India so most of the international crew at some stage developed Delhi belly which is nasty gastro.

I'll take broken locks anyday of the week.

hosko, I think your story wins for now.

No portable toilets I guess to have near the OB units?

My worst was a college football stadium that just had been renovated. For some reason the existing sewer lines couldn't handle the upgrade. I do not think additional seats were added. At some point waste started coming up from toilets and the game continued and there was no real concern for cleaning it or doing anything about the issue.

Tear down was a challenge since everything was home run.The ground was clean and dry when the cables were run, not clean or dry when we were striking.

The best was that our truck was parked right next to a bathroom and we could smell the "problem" all game long.

In India they don't use OB trucks they build temporary structures, actually don't mind sitting in a nice air conditioned room with plenty of room as opposed to some of the trucks I've been in. They did have bathrooms built into the compound however the BVM was present when they were built and noticed they didn't actual drain anywhere, I guess no sewer system.

There was a portable "poo truck" however the stench coming from it meant no one actually investigated it further.
