Does anybody have some basic instructions on how to get your laptop to talk to the frame when you are running Menu on PC.  Do you change your IP in network settings on the laptop to the same as the frame IP or the Node IP of the switcher.  Or do you change the IP on the Menu on PC software to node or frame IP.  I normally get it work after a bunch of trial and error but I didn't know if there was a easier way.

Any help would be appricated.

The frame must be expecting to comunicate with your IP address. I'm not infront of it so excuse me if i get this wrong. On the main menu panel go to node in the engineering menu. Add your IP address for you laptop in there plus a name so you know what connection it is EG "my laptop" then it should comunicate.

In your computer's Ethernet properties, make sure that your 1st 3 octets match those of the switcher (eg. 192.168.0.) then enter the last octet as something that's not already on the network. Next, launch the menu-on-PC & go into the ENG setups - make sure that your computer's menu has the same frame and still store IP addresses that the switcher's ENG menu shows. You may have to restart your menu-on-PC application for any changes to take effect, but this should work. One thing that bags me all the time is my computer's anti-virus software (I use Norton). I have to disable this on my computer to get the thing to communicate with the frame.
