I just did a show on a Sony 8k and have 2 questions.

How do you Modify All on an existing effect if you want to change a particular parameter, like key type, on all keyframes?

Second, is there a menu to define a default path type in an effect?  One of the M/E's seemed to default to "Step" as the Transition path type while another was always set to "Linear."

Thanks,

Mike

Two easy questions. Took me longer to get the emulator software on my laptop.

To modify all the keyframes of an effect:

  • Recall the effect
  • Change a parameter
  • Press ALL on the effect edit module
  • Press MOD on the effect edit module
  • Store the effect
To define a Path type for an effect,
  • Press the KEY FRAME button on the left hand side of the menu.
  • Press PATH, its a tab at the bottom (you can skip straight to it by entering menu 6113)
  • Once you have change a PATH you need to mod the keyframe or if you want them all follow the ALL MOD prcedure above.
The Keyframe menu is used for altering an effect and the Effect menu is used for managing effects. I know its not very logical to begin with.

Thanks for the Mod All answer.

As far as the Keyframe path type, I don't think I was clear enough in my question.  When I would recall an empty register it seemed that M/E 1 would automatically have a Linear Path as the path type, but M/E 2 would have a Step Path as the path type.  Is there a way to define their "default" path type?  Or was there something else that created this condition (perhaps needing to load a "default keyframe" type of starting point)?

Thanks,

Mike
