I have 16 macros attached to my PGM/PST key buses.  When I changed my table on the PGM bus recently, I noticed I had to re-assign all of the attachments when I changed back.  Just wondering-is there a way to avoid that?

Unfortunately, because every single button on the panel has a unique address - thus if you change the tables, you change the address mapping...which messes up the attachments.

After changing the table mapping, you need to reload the Macro Attachments in the File Menu...that will fix the issue.

I thought (I could be wrong about this as I'm not in front of the switcher now) that if you changed tables macro attachments deleted themselves from xpts that changed. ie if you have an attachment on xpt button 1, normally black and you recalled another table that had black as xpt button 1 the attachment would stay. However if you recalled a table that had anything the attachment would delete itself. I recall a couple of years back I had a show where I had to change PP tables mid show when we did a seg out of another studio floor so my cameras changed but everything else stayed the same. I simply attached everything on the key bus for xpts that didn't change ie EVS and assign lines.

Granted my memory isn't always the best but give it a go I think it will work.

Also Bob, why is that a directory can have up to 10 different macro attachments configs saved but if you do a save through the file / all it will blow the 10 out and only save in position one. It would make a lot more sense to only save over position one.

I agree - I will have to check with the gurus at SONY about that one, as I haven't experienced what you are describing.
